Did you know that a building loses some 30% of its heat through the roof? Is your home wasting your money without you knowing?

To raise awareness about energy efficiency in the home, the Communauté d’Agglomération du Pays de Grasse, in partnership with GRDF, the French gas distribution company, launched an aerial thermographic survey in February for 11 communes on the public gas grid in its territory (Auribeau-sur-Siagne, Cabris, Grasse, La Roquette-sur-Siagne, Le Tignet, Mouans-Sartoux, Pégomas, Peymeinade, Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne, Saint-Vallier-de-Thiey, Spéracèdes). A plane will fly over this area of Grasse at night to measure roof temperatures and detect any loss of heat.

Whether you are a resident, a homeowner or a business, this survey will tell you if your home and /or building is energy efficient. Come to any of the three energy-efficiency home improvements exhibitions to pick up your free energy consumption photo for your building.

Businesses specialising in energy efficiency home improvements will be present to help you identify sources of energy waste in your home, to give you advice about suitable home improvements (insulation work, heating etc.) and about any funding that may be available, with the aim of reducing your energy bills.
