Social housing: Are you eligible?

Did you know that 70% of the people living on the Côte d'Azur may be entitled to social housing?

You may be eligible for social housing depending on your income and the make up of your household. The table below shows the different conditions for eligibility depending on your income and the make up of your household.

Cat 1: Single person,
Cat 2: 2 adults, no dependents, excluding young couples,
Cat 3: 3 adults or 1 single adult  with 1 dependent, or a young couple* with no dependents,
Cat 4: 4 adults or 1 single adult with 2 dependents,
Cat 5: 5 adults or 1 single adult with 3 dependents,
Cat 6: 6 adults or 1 single adult with 4 dependents,
Final category: for each additional person.

*Young couple = married couple with no dependents. The sum of their ages must equal 55 or more.

 For the allocation of subsidized housing, these limits should be compared with the tax statement for the year 2008; however, income from 2009 or the previous 12 months will be taken into account if it is at least 10% lower than that declared in 2008.
